About this role
About the role: - This is an early-career full-stack engineering position for candidates with 1–3 years of experience. - The role follows a hybrid setup with 3 days each week in the Bengaluru office. - Engineers are expected to build features end to end across product UI, backend services, data models and integrations. - Candidates can be stronger in frontend or backend, but should be interested in learning and contributing across both. About the company: - Zenskar builds an AI-native revenue automation platform that connects CRM and ERP workflows across billing, revenue recognition, collections, usage metering and analytics. - Its Zero-Touch Finance vision uses agents for execution while humans supervise and define the operating rules. - The company was founded by Apurv Bansal and Saurabh Agarwal, second-time founders whose earlier startups were acquired by Snapdeal and Gaana. - Team backgrounds mentioned include Google, Deutsche Bank, Elevation Capital, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and Harvard Business School. - Revenue grew 5x over the previous year, and the company describes itself as default alive. - Zenskar raised $15M in Series A funding in April 2026 from Susquehanna Venture Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Shine Capital and Rho, with participation from Rocketship, J-Ventures, Future Back Ventures by Bain & Company and Converge. - The funding is intended to expand the Agents Marketplace and scale operations rather than increase headcount. - The company cites a B2B billing and revenue automation market of $2B today, projected to reach $10B by 2030. - Customer examples include Pontera saving 200+ hours per quarter, Vertice reducing manual work by 70%, Yembo automating 90% of billing and accelerating collections by a month, and 100ms launching 4 months sooner. What you'll work on: - Build APIs, frontend workflows, backend services and integrations while handling correctness-sensitive financial software. - Translate complicated billing rules into interfaces that remain understandable to finance users. - Design predictable APIs for complex customer configurations and provide useful, actionable error states. - Handle retries, duplicate requests and partial failures safely while keeping large datasets and long-running operations responsive. - Improve visibility into what AI agents did, why they acted and where human review is needed. - Potential projects include end-to-end pricing, customer, invoice-adjustment or usage-alert workflows spanning UI, validation and persistence. - You may improve structured backend errors, map them into appropriate UI states and add observability around failures. - Integration work can involve CRM, ERP or payment systems, including status tracking, retry behavior, duplicate handling and failure visibility. - Performance work may involve tracing slow flows from browser to database, improving queries or APIs, adding pagination and fixing loading behavior. - You may also build AI agents on Zenskar's internal platform for customer business use cases. What we're looking for: - The backend stack is primarily Python and Postgres on AWS, while the frontend uses modern JavaScript and TypeScript. - Exact prior experience with this stack is helpful but not mandatory, and prior billing or accounting knowledge is not required. - New hires are expected to pair with the team, read production code and begin shipping carefully scoped changes instead of spending months only onboarding. Note: Hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Indiranagar, Bengaluru office. Experience range: 1–3 years.
