About the role: - Work on data science projects that combine machine learning with real-world applications at WISE - Contribute to tasks involving model development, data analysis, and experimentation - Engage with supervised learning techniques, large language models, and automation workflows - Build experience across the full pipeline from data preparation through model evaluation What you'll need: - Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, graduating in 2028 - Strong foundation in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis - Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and how to apply them to problems - Ability to start work on 21 June 2027 - Right to work in London without requiring visa sponsorship - Mindset that welcomes feedback and treats mistakes as learning opportunities - Drive to take initiative, ask questions, and grow throughout the internship Nice to have: - Practical experience with supervised learning algorithms and model building - Exposure to large language models or chatbot systems - Knowledge of workflow automation approaches - Familiarity with graph-based methods or Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) - Experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed computing frameworks - Background in software development or contributions to open-source projects - Personal projects in machine learning or data science you can discuss Why join: - Work alongside experienced data scientists at a forward-thinking organisation - Gain hands-on exposure to modern ML tools and techniques used in production - Build a portfolio project you can reference in future roles Note: Visa Support Provided
