About the role: - Shape the technical architecture of a system that learns and maps human compatibility at scale - Engineer voice interfaces that capture user intent and personality traits through natural conversation - Build matching algorithms that work bidirectionally, ensuring both parties see value in potential connections - Design systems that evolve their understanding of user preferences as fresh data and context arrive over time - Optimize memory usage, model evaluation pipelines, and operational costs across the platform What you'll work on: - Voice processing and natural language understanding to extract personality signals and preferences from conversations - Backend services that power real-time matching and recommendation logic - Machine learning models that improve matching accuracy as the system gathers more user interaction data - Infrastructure for storing, retrieving and updating user preference profiles efficiently - Performance tuning and cost reduction across the ML inference and storage layers What we're looking for: - Strong full-stack capabilities across ML, backend systems, and core algorithm design - Experience building production voice or audio processing features - Comfort with bidirectional recommendation or matching systems - Track record optimizing resource consumption and model serving costs - Ability to balance model sophistication with practical deployment constraints
