About UntouchAi: UntouchAi develops a Chrome extension enabling hands-free control of YouTube through webcam-based hand gesture recognition. Users can manage video playback and navigation without touching their keyboard or mouse. About the role: - Contribute to building and refining the gesture recognition system that interprets hand movements from webcam input - Implement features that translate gestures into YouTube commands such as play, pause, mute, and playback speed adjustment - Work on scrolling functionality for browsing YouTube and YouTube Shorts via hand gestures - Develop skip and rewind capabilities triggered by user gestures - Collaborate with a small, fast-moving team to ship features and improvements rapidly - Participate in testing and debugging to ensure gesture detection works reliably across different lighting and user scenarios What we're looking for: - Solid foundation in software development with the ability to write clean, functional code - Genuine interest in creating novel user experiences and innovative products - Comfort working in a startup setting where priorities shift quickly and you wear multiple hats - Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new tools and frameworks as needed Good to know: - This is an internship position with the possibility of a pre-placement offer (PPO)
