About the role: - Analyze market opportunities and user needs for a gesture-controlled video platform built as a Chrome extension - Conduct research into how users interact with YouTube and identify pain points in current viewing experiences - Gather and document requirements from stakeholders, users and the product team - Create business cases and financial projections to guide product development decisions - Monitor competitor offerings and emerging trends in hands-free interaction technology What the product does: - Users control YouTube playback through hand gestures detected via their webcam, eliminating reliance on keyboards and mice - The extension supports play and pause commands, video seeking forward and backward, speed adjustment, audio muting, and seamless browsing of both standard videos and YouTube Shorts - The tool enables comfortable, gesture-based navigation across the YouTube platform What we're looking for: - Demonstrated excellence in professional communication and stakeholder management - Genuine enthusiasm for building innovative consumer products - Comfort operating effectively in a startup setting with rapid iteration, ambiguity and shifting priorities - Analytical mindset with ability to translate user feedback into actionable insights - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in documenting specifications
