Backend Software Engineer

About the role: - Create backend systems and microservices designed for high performance and reliability - Build APIs that serve mission-critical products at scale - Develop secure applications capable of handling significant user loads - Work toward continuous performance gains, system scalability, and architectural improvements - Engage in technical design sessions and help shape engineering standards - Coordinate with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps to ensure strong user experiences What you bring: - 1–2 years of hands-on backend development work - Solid Java coding ability - Working knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot - Strong grasp of REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and Distributed Systems - Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, with MongoDB experience a plus Who we'd like to hear from: - Engineers from product-focused companies or startups - Graduates of top engineering institutes Day-to-day work: - Write and review backend code that moves the product forward - Optimize database queries and system performance - Design and refine API contracts with frontend and mobile teams - Debug and troubleshoot production issues - Contribute code reviews and architectural input - Participate in sprint planning and technical retrospectives What matters to us: - Clear communication within a cross-functional team - Ownership of features from design through deployment - Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and frameworks - Attention to code quality and maintainability Note: Referral Alert - Candidates from product-based startups/companies strongly encouraged to apply
