About the role: - You will build and maintain backend systems that power CARS24's consumer platforms, which operate across India, the UAE, and Australia and serve millions of users - Your work spans the complete lifecycle from architectural design through deployment and production support - You will tackle intricate technical challenges that arise in large-scale systems handling significant transaction volumes and user traffic - The systems you create directly affect the experience of millions of customers, giving your work tangible, visible impact What you'll work on: - Designing robust backend architectures that can scale across multiple geographies and growing user bases - Writing code that prioritizes reliability, performance, and maintainability - Debugging and resolving production issues that affect the platform and its users - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions - Optimizing database queries, API responses, and backend services for speed and efficiency - Implementing security practices and data protection measures What we're looking for: - Strong problem-solving ability and comfort with complex system design - Experience building or maintaining production backend services - Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language - Familiarity with relational databases and API design patterns - A mindset focused on code quality and long-term maintainability - Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced environments
