About the role: - Build and maintain backend systems and distributed services that power Blitz's platform - Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices architectures - Write production-grade code across multiple programming languages and frameworks - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code quality standards What you'll work on: - Backend development using Java with Spring Boot, Python with Django, and Golang - Database architecture and optimization with PostgreSQL, RDBMS, and NoSQL systems - Event-driven systems using SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ - Caching strategies and implementation with Redis or Hazelcast - AWS infrastructure including EC2, Cognito, API Gateway, and ECS - Asynchronous programming patterns and concurrent system design - Microservices patterns, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design principles - Test-driven development with comprehensive unit and integration testing - AI-assisted development tools and GenAI integration in workflows What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferably from a Tier-1 institution, or equivalent professional experience - Strong strategic communication and presentation abilities - Proven problem-solving approach grounded in first-principles thinking - Hands-on experience building asynchronous and event-driven systems - Solid foundation in distributed system design and implementation - Demonstrable expertise with GenAI tools and AI-assisted coding practices - Mandatory background in AI or AI Engineering Good to know: - Experience with DevOps practices is a plus - Big Data exposure is valued - Experience writing testable, maintainable code at scale
