Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (f/m) to join a team of experts dedicated to developing on-board software for cutting-edge satellite missions, including Earth Observation, Telecommunications, Navigation and Science or Constellations.

You will be at the heart of our development cycle. You won't just be writing code; you will be contributing to the creation of standardized DHS (Data Handled SW) modules. These modules are high-value products delivered to internal international partners (UK, Germany, Spain...) and integrated into the core software of major global space programs.

This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive view of the software lifecycle in a highly regulated space industry.

Your challenges:

Design & Develop: Participate in the detailed design and implementation of software code.
Master Quality Standards: Learn to write test plans, execute procedures, and validate software in accordance with strict space standards.
Deliver & Integrate: Support the delivery of modules and documentation to internal customers and assist in their integration into central satellite software.
Solve Complex Problems: Contribute to anomaly investigations and learn how to troubleshoot high-reliability systems.

Verify that the SW requirements are correctly & completely implemented.

Manage your activities following the expected schedule, budget and quality.
Participate to the improvement of the Department performance.

Your Profile

Education & Technical Skills:Recently graduated with a Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field,

Solid understanding of Low-Layer software (Operating Systems like Linux/Unix, Computer & Processor architectures),

Familiarity with the V-cycle development process,

Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Java,

Basic understanding of design methods (e.g., UML),

Curious, proactive, and ready to dive into complex technical challenges,

You enjoy breaking down problems and finding logical solutions,

You enjoy working in a collaborative, multicultural environment,

You have good communication skills and are comfortable working in English.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
